“12 Days of Successful Traits” and Those Pesky New Year’s Resolutions!

According to statisticbrain.com only 44.8% of the people that made a New Year’s Resolution in 2017 are still on track after 6 months.  Resolutions are hard because it takes developing a new habit to really see any results.   According to the Huffington Post, most New Year’s Resolutions are a little too ambitious and restrictive, creating small incremental changes are much more effective.  Keeping this in mind, I have decided to put a twist on my goals for 2018.

In keeping with the holidays, I came up with the “12 Days of Successful Traits” that I will incorporate into my self-improvement plan for 2018.  Every three weeks I will include a new trait and let you know how it is going.  What I would really like is for others that are interested, to do it with me.  You can respond to the blogs and/or Facebook and encourage others that are on this journey with us.

To get us started, over the next few weeks, I am going to discuss these 12 traits of successful people and highlight those characteristics with people that I know personally and others that inspire me.  Taking the time to discuss each of these will help us prepare for the upcoming year.  Here is a list of the “12 Days of Success Traits” that we will be working on:

  1. Be Grateful
  2. Make Everyone Feel Special
  3. Focus
  4. Delay Gratification
  5. Integrity
  6. Communication
  7. Leadership
  8. Overcome Adversity
  9. Learn from Failure
  10. Take Responsibility
  11. Perseverance
  12. Generosity

Check back tomorrow for the first day our our journey!
